More details to follow, but expect to be entertained at our grand opening!
March 2017: Tony Orchard Memorial Fundraiser
By fundraising in his name we hope to get substantial support from his university and ex-alumni who will give generously either personally or via their own organisations. We are not just seeking financial help but also advise and expertise, as well as increasing awareness of our charity and forging useful connections in the world of NGOs and healthcare charities.

A fantastic evening – roll on next year!
On 16h June 2016 the CORE spinathon returned to Goldman Sachs, with another 7 teams of brave (or coerced) spinners. Some were so passionate about it that they had more than one go! After matchfunding from the company, we significantly exceeded last years total. Good work!
September 2015: The ascent of Mont Blanc* – AMOUNT RAISED: £1500
Several ‘friends’ of CORE, including one of the directors, are undertaking the gruelling ascent of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Europe. Considering the number of lives this challenging mountain takes each year plus the unusually high temperatures this summer, this is no mean feat. And to top it off, we’re doing it unguided!
On 26th June more than 160 employees from Goldman Sachs participated in a 12-hr spinathon to help raise awareness within GS and to kickstart our fundraising campaign. Seven divisions put forward a team of 24 cyclists who raced for 30 minutes each.
M ay 2015: The Hackney half marathon* – COMPLETE!
Both directors of CORE and their friends and family participated in this event to raise awareness of our upcoming enterprise.
Sept 2014: Alpine ascent to 4000m* – COMPLETE!
Four CORE fundraisers went to the Alps with no previous experience of alpine climbing to try their hand at hiking, rock climbing, glacier trekking and ice climbing in preparation for the ascent of Mont Blanc in 2015.
* NB. The costs of entering these events were met by the competitors and not by CORE.
